Bootcamp FAQ

What is a fitness bootcamp?

Fat burning interval training with a friendly group of likeminded individuals all wanting to achieve their health goals. An easy way to feel fitter, have more energy and increased self esteem.

Where does it take place?

Bootcamps take place in Collett Park in Shepton Mallet and in Wells at Perfect Fit Gym.

What time do they start?

Shepton Mallet Bootcamps

Monday, Wednesday and Fridays at 7.00am

Wells Bootcamp

Tuesday and Thursdays at 6.00am


How long do they last?

45 minutes!

How much does it cost?

Based on a four week bootcamp:

1 session a week – £20

2 sessions a week – £40

3 sessions a week – £60

 

Pay as you go or extra sessions - £5

Price includes flexibility of either camp, you just must use all your sessions within the four week bootcamp.


Do I need to be fit to start?

No! Not at all, you work at your own pace in each session. Suitable for all abilities, ages and gender!

Are we always outdoors?

Yes! Whatever the weather we workout! Apart from the 6am Wells Bootcamp which takes place in Perfect Fit gym although we will be outdoors when we can!

What happens when it rains in Shepton Mallet?

We work out!! Whatever the weather we have great sessions, just wear appropriate clothing (a light raincoat is a good investment!)

Will I ache after a session?

Possibly yes, BUT it will get easier after a day or so. No pain no gain!

What will a typical session at bootcamp be like?

Interval training, in a circuit style with a mix of bodyweight exercises, the use of muscle toning equipment such as Boxing, TRX and Kettlebells plus a bit of running. Every session is different!

What should I wear?

Comfortable exercise clothing!

In the summer – shorts and a tshirt and in the winter – wrap up warm with a hoody, joggers/leggings, hat, gloves and possibly a raincoat but most importantly whatever the weather, a good pair of trainers is crucial.


What do I need to bring?

Water, an exercise mat (if you have one) and a towel.
