ABOUT ME
You may feel exercise sounds “too much like hard work”, but, whilst you have to put in some effort, you will soon find what fun it can be! Exercise releases endorphins, sometimes known as the happy hormones, and following exercise, you will invariably feel a lift in your mood; what’s more, the effect is cumulative, regular exercise makes people feel good!

I have a huge passion for exercise, fitness and sport and these, along with my enthusiasm to help others improve their health and fitness and achieve their personal goals, whether about life, work or health. I am here to give that helpful push in the right direction!

After successfully completing my BTEC National Diploma in Sport, I moved into the fitness industry with Aquaterra Leisure where I qualified as a Level 2 Gym Instructor and Level 3 Personal Trainer. In 2011 I set up Barnard Fitness and am proud to offer Fitness Bootcamps and Personal Training to clients all throughout Somerset.

My sessions are not just about work, they are enjoyable too; the atmosphere is relaxed and so you can achieve your goals, have fun and feel good, all of which are great for your overall health! So contact me and let me help you achieve your goals.

COVID-19 PT studio safety update
Four months after being in lockdown and having to shut my studio I am finally able to re-open and train people again in person!
Things will be a little bit different whilst using the studio especially in a group training format due to the current guidelines set out by the Government.

Important COVID-19 related changes in effect from 25 July 2020
Before your training session with me, please get in contact if you answer YES to any of the questions below, however mild your symptoms may be, you should stay at home.
• Have you had the recent onset of a new continuous cough?
• Do you have a temperature?
• Have you noticed a loss of/change in normal sense of taste or smell?
What procedures are in place?
When you arrive for your session, please either wait in your car or outside the studio until the time of the class/appointment.
Hand sanitiser will be on the side as you enter the studio to be used on entry.
Please leave everything in the car, you only need to bring in your water bottle, mat, weights (if applicable) and keys, car keys can be placed on the side or you can hold onto them until you are in your pod.
Anti-bacterial soap is provided at the sink and blue paper towel to dry your hands.
Masks aren't essential but if you'd like to wear one for your own protection then you are more than welcome.
All surfaces, door handles and switches will have been wiped/sprayed with sanitiser spray pre and post workouts.
If you use any of my weights or if you bring your own in, you are responsible for cleaning it with the sanitiser spray and blue paper towel provided, please then put away tidily.
I have marked out 8 x 2.5m² workout pods for individuals to workout in, I will allocate you a pod as you enter and this will be where you will stay until the end of the session.

If you have any questions or would like to discuss in more detail please give me a call on 07828 452029 or email barnardfitness@live.co.uk.
