Bootcamp FAQ


What is a fitness bootcamp? Fat burning interval training with a friendly group of likeminded individuals all wanting to achieve their health goals. An easy way to feel fitter, have more energy and increased self esteem. Where does it take place? Barnard Fitness Studio on The Bath & West Showground, near Shepton Mallet. What days and time do they start? Monday, Wednesday and Fridays

6.30am - 7.15am How long do they last? 45 minutes! How much does it cost?

First session - FREE £60 per month payable by direct debit - this enables you to do up to three sessions a week. Do I need to be fit to start? No! Not at all, you work at your own pace in each session. Suitable for all abilities, ages and gender! Are we always indoors? No! During the winter months we have the studio to use, however, there is so much outdoor space that on sunny/dry days we can utilise this as well as using all the equipment inside. Will I ache after a session? Possibly yes, BUT it will get easier after a day or so. No pain no gain! What will a typical session at bootcamp be like? Interval training, in a circuit style with a mix of bodyweight exercises, the use of muscle toning equipment such as Boxing, TRX, Kettlebells and weights plus a bit of running. Every session is different! What should I wear? Comfortable exercise clothing! In the summer – shorts and a tshirt and in the winter – wrap up warm with a hoody, joggers/leggings but most importantly a good pair of trainers is crucial. What do I need to bring?
